The name Dan Lowrey originated from the founder of the theatre, The Everyman Palace, which is next door to tavern.

Some of the old features in this tavern are the stained glass windows which originally came from a church in Killarney.  They are over three hundred years old.

It has won prizes for its frontage four years in a row.

It has also won the James Joyce award for Authentic Irish Pub and two Black & White awards.

The bar boasts a selection of antique mirrors

Its cosy atmosphere makes this a nice place to enjoy our extensive lunch and evening time menu or relax with friends and family for a drink.
